The Upgraded Taste of Nashville

Ashli Alexander

If you weren’t aware, Vanderbilt added a few new restaurants to the Taste of Nashville list. Personally, I am really excited about these new restaurants and have already visited many of them. Here are a few of my favorites:

Biscuit Love

Biscuit Love is located off of 21st Avenue around the corner from Pancake Pantry. This restaurant closes at 3PM, so make sure to get there early. Biscuit Love serves breakfast food all day, and it’s amazing! I definitely recommend the Bonuts, which are fried biscuit dough served with lemon mascarpone and blueberry compote. They’re delicious!

Hopdoddy Burger Bar

Hopdoddy is also located on 21st Avenue, and it is open until 11PM almost every night. Hopdoddy is known for their variety of unique burgers, parmesan truffle fries, and milkshakes. My favorite burger is the Goodnight/Good Cause. The BBQ Sassy Sauce just makes the entire burger come together!

Moe’s

Moe’s can be found in the same shopping center as Vanderbilt’s Barnes and Noble. Personally, I think Moe’s has some of the best queso. If you visit on Mondays, you can get a burrito with chips and salsa for only $6. Of course, I usually visit on Mondays, so I can take advantage of this great deal!

PizzaRev

PizzaRev is located across the street from Kissam. At PizzaRev, you are able to create your own pizza from scratch with as many toppings as you want. It’s designed like a Subway except for pizza! The pizza is baked in a brick oven, so it only takes a few minutes to cook. Definitely visit on Tuesdays because they have pizzas for $6.99! Lastly, PizzaRev also has really good wings, so be sure to try those as well!

Meal Money definitely runs out faster than you think, so be sure to visit these restaurants early in the semester. Happy eating!
