I wore orange to a funeral

Just to see how it felt to be the brightest person in the room

I wore a yellow raincoat on a sunny day

Just to see how it felt to have clouds solely hanging over me

I draw purple circles under my eyes just to see how it feels to be tired

I paint blue on my body and lie in hydrangeas just to see how it feels to blossom

I wear and

until I lose my vibrant hues just to feel what it’s like to fall
